About Jamie

Jamie grew up riding at South Farm in Middlefield, Ohio where she learned about the horse world. Thanks to the wonderful guidance of Sarah Greer, Jamie acquired a wealth of experience in everything from daily care and farm management, foxhunting, eventing, dressage, setting up and running horse shows, hunter paces, and events, and teaching her first few riding lessons.

She had the amazing opportunity to work as an assistant to advanced rider and successful horseman, Jeffrey Taylor, for 8 years. Those years of hard work and invaluable experience from Jeffrey sharpened her teaching, riding, and training skills. During that time Jamie competed through the Intermediate level, including a CIC 2* (new 3*), and brought many young horses along through the levels successfully. Jeffrey was especially skillful with young horses and Jamie was fortunate enough to learn from his expertise and gain the skills necessary to mold young horses into something special.

Over the past several years Jamie has broadened her knowledge with several world class coaches. Tammy Cagno has imparted a wealth of knowledge and given an inside look into the Hunter/Jumper industry and what it takes to make a successful horse in that world, including developing one KWPN gelding from his first few rides to the 6 year old jumper classes, and another from his first few rides to the 5 and 6 year old hunter classes. Tammy offers years of experience and has become one of Jamie's most valuable mentors.

Charlotte Bayley Schindelholz has not only kept her dressage skills sharp but has given her the opportunity to continue moving forward to learn more intricate details of upper level dressage work. She has competed in USDF competitions through 3rd level and has received her bronze medal.

Robin Walker and Kara Andrew have offered an immense amount of support and have been very helpful developing professional skills and keeping Jamie tuned up for the events.

In addition to her horse show horse experience, she has also had quite a bit of experience at the race track. She has started many race prospects under saddle and taken them all the way to their first few gallops on the track. The race horse industry is another facet of the equestrian world that Jamie enjoys tremendously.

In October 2018 Jamie married Dr. Sean Allison DVM. Dr. Sean is a well known and very experienced veterinarian from Cleveland Equine Clinic which makes him an invaluable part of the Elevate Team. Sean also comes from a strong equestrian background as his family has been in the hunter/jumper business for decades, and his father was also an equine veterinarian. Jamie and Sean are blessed to share their passion for horses in their lives together. They share a beautiful and feisty daughter named Kennedy who also loves the horses and has her very own mini named Bandit.

Jamie has her B.S. in Health Education from Youngstown State University and enjoys shooting, and playing the piano in her leisure time. She believes strongly in positive thinking and the importance of finding happiness in everything you do in life.

Jamie riding Jedi who has been a fabulous event partner for her scoring several impressive scores including an 18.8, 17.4, and 22.1! This horse has been a joy to compete and will always have a special place in my heart.

London by Night was a special partner for Jamie. She started him right off the race track and they moved up the levels and had the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and compete through the Intermediate level.
